All kids deserve the opportunity to discover who they are and what they can achieve, under the guidance of adults who care about them and believe in their potential. Summer at the Y has a life-changing impact on children and families by offering a safe haven where children can discover the wonder of nature, develop lifesaving water safety skills, boost literacy skills and participate in activities that build self-confidence, character and healthy habits.

A SUMMER AT THE y?
When you donate to the Y, you help give a child the summer they deserve. Thousands of kids are home alone during the summer, without opportunities to be safe, explore, create, make friends and have fun. Without your support, many kids will be left vulnerable to dangerous and risky behavior. Imagine the possibilities when you give a child a safe haven to learn, grow and thrive this summer.
YOU CAN GIVE A CHILD A SUMMER OF POSSIBILITIES.
Our Y has been creating possibilities through summer camp for more than 100 years. Today, more than 4,000 kids come to our Y’s each week and we are committed to seeing that number grow, regardless of a family’s ability to pay. When you give to your local branch of the YMCA of Greater Brandywine, you help protect kids when they are out of school, give them the skills to stay safe in the water and help them become healthier and more active.
Your support of the Y provides kids with a nurturing environment that will help them develop the positive values, behaviors and skills they need to become confident, healthy and caring adults. You create a better future for everyone. No other organization can impact as many children and families as the Y – after school, at summer camp, on the sports fields and at home. We need your support to make it happen.

$250 Creates possibilities for a kid with SUMMER CAMP for a week.
$500 Engages two kids with a one-year Y membership through the 7th Grade Initiative
$750 Opens the door for 25 kids to stay safe for 10 weekends at Saturday Night Lights.
$1,000 Helps prepare 10 kids for school success and fight summer learning loss.
$2,500 Teaches water safety to a class of elementary school kids through the SPLASH! program.
CHAIRMAN'S ROUNDTABLE
Chairman’s Roundtable members show their dedication to our Y’s cause with an annual gift of $1,000 or more. To show our appreciation, Roundtable members receive: two invitations to the Annual Dinner and listing in the dinner program and recognition in the Y lobby. Plus, the satisfaction of knowing you made a difference! In 2014, our y awarded more than $3.2 million in financial assistance to over 18,000 children and adults in need.
Your contribution to the annual campaign is tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law, and will be used for direct program delivery in your community.
