Get in the Sand with the Band Fundraiser
Nets $10K for Annual Fund
Torrential rains wouldn’t dampen the spirit of Spring Fling partygoers at the Upper Main Line YMCA on Friday, June 5, 2009. The Fabulous Greaseband headlined the event, but the star performers were the guests and sponsors who braved the monsoon-like weather to support the YMCA.
More than 150 YMCA members, guests and the community enjoyed great music, food and fellowship under tents behind the YMCA. Special guests included the YMCA’s Open Doors program for adults with intellectual disabilities.
Event sponsors included the John and Shirley Nash Foundation, M&T Bank, Westside Wellness Chiropractic and Victory Brewing Company.
Funded by donations and fundraiser events like the Spring Fling, Triathlon and Golf Outings, the Changing Lives annual fund helps youth, individuals and families take part in enriching YMCA programs.
The YMCA’s next Changing Lives fundraiser is the Annual Golf tournament on September, 22, 2009 at the Applebrook Country Club in Malvern.
The YMCA appreciates the support of the community. If you’d like to donate to the Changing Lives campaign Click Here.
